Education Plan

Ensuring quality and accessible education for every American.

Increased Funding for Public Schools

Our administration will significantly boost federal funding to ensure all public schools have the resources needed for quality education. Teacher salaries will be increased to attract and retain talented educators, particularly in underserved areas. Funds will be allocated for the renovation and modernization of school facilities, ensuring safe and conducive learning environments for all students.

States’ Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of federal funds to improve school facilities and resources.
  • Implement state-specific salary increases to attract and retain high-quality teachers, especially in underserved areas.
  • Oversee the renovation and modernization of school facilities to create safe and conducive learning environments.

Reducing Student Debt

We will lower interest rates on federal student loans to make repayment more manageable. Expanded loan forgiveness programs will be introduced, particularly for graduates working in public service, education, and healthcare. Initiatives to make community colleges tuition-free will be implemented, providing more affordable higher education options for all.

States’ Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the implementation of state-level programs that reduce student debt through scholarships and grants.
  • Support and promote state-specific loan forgiveness programs for graduates in public service, education, and healthcare.
  • Collaborate with community colleges to make tuition-free initiatives successful and accessible to all residents.

National STEM Education Campaign

A nationwide campaign to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education will be launched, with increased funding for STEM programs. Public-private partnerships will be established with tech companies and universities to enhance STEM curricula and provide real-world learning opportunities. Efforts will focus on increasing diversity in STEM fields by supporting programs for underrepresented groups.

States’ Responsibilities:

  • Develop and fund state-specific STEM programs to complement the federal initiatives.
  • Foster partnerships between local tech companies, universities, and schools to enhance STEM curricula.
  • Implement state-level programs to increase diversity in STEM fields, focusing on support for underrepresented groups.

Educator and Student Engagement

Regular forums will be established for educators, students, and parents to provide feedback on education policies. This input will be used to continuously refine and improve educational initiatives and programs, ensuring they meet the needs of all stakeholders.

States’ Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate regular state-level forums for feedback from educators, students, and parents.
  • Ensure that feedback from these forums is integrated into state education policies and programs.
  • Work collaboratively with local education boards to address the needs and concerns of all stakeholders.
